Private stewardship for meaningful forest preservation
Selcombe Forest Stewardship Program invites individuals and organizations to protect real forest. Privately, transparently, and without the burdens of ownership.
Selcombe exists to protect and steward forest landscapes in a way that is personal, transparent, and long-lasting. Our verifiable approach to conservation allows for long-term ecological integrity.
Most other conservation efforts are distant and abstract. Selcombe offers real stewardship participation, transparency, and optional annual visits to your dedicated forest.
What we do
This is not a carbon credit, offset, or abstract certification. Selcombe stewardship supports real forests, with mapped boundaries, on-the-ground management, and ongoing ecological monitoring.
Selcombe aquires and stewards forest land with the purpose of long-term ecological preservation. We invite a limited number of individuals and organizations to participate as forest stewards, without the burden of ownership, management, or bureaucracy.
Why we need to rethink conservation
Large conservation efforts are often distant, bureaucratic, and abstract. Contributors rarely see tangible results, understand how funds are used, or feel a real connection to the land they aim to protect.
Meanwhile, local forests, critical for wildlife corridors, biodiversity, and ecosystem resilience, are quietly fragmented and developed.
As a forest stewards you support preservation and improvement efforts of these critical ecosystems. Selcombe will document progress and share maps, photos, and conservation report for your dedicated forest area.
How stewardship works
This is your opportunity to make a real difference for conservation and forest preservation.
Here is how it works in 5 easy steps.
Selcombe acquire strategically located forest
The forest is enrolled into the stewardship program
A Selcombe Steward commits to supporting this specific forest
Forest preservation efforts for the forest are documented and shared.
The Steward gets access to maps, conservation reports, photo updates, and more, and is invited to visit the land.
Reality check
This is not a carbon credit, offset, an abstract certification, or a clever scheme for tax write offs. This is direct participation in long-term stewardship of real forested land.
Selcombe stewardship supports real forests, and stewards will have full visibility and access to progress for their dedicated forest. They will have access to mapped boundaries, on-the-ground management, ongoing ecological monitoring, optional onsite visits and more.
“The Selcombe Forest Stewardship Program provides a rare model of private stewardship with real accountability and transparency.”
